Organisations worldwide recognise the need to provide a safe and healthy working environment, reduce the likelihood of accidents and demonstrate they are actively managing risks. ISO 45001, the international standard for occupational health and safety will provide an internationally accepted framework that will help protect employees as well as protecting the longevity and health of an organisation.

The standard is flexible and can be adapted to manage occupational health and safety in a wide range of organisations including; large organisations and enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises, public and not-for-profit organisations, non-government organisations (NGOs) and charities.

National Grid Electricity Distribution achieved the ISO 14001 standard in May 2021 following a two stage audit completed by NQA. A sample certificate issued by the auditing authority can be found here.
