Suburban PV Impact

Project description

The introduction of feed-in tariffs within the UK has shown a significant increase of micro generation connected to the low voltage distribution network, including solar panels (i.e. PV panels). This is particularly an issue on suburban networks. This project investigated how to monitor and determine the effects of installing large numbers of solar panels (i.e. PV panels) on Low Voltage (LV) suburban networks.
