With financial support from Western Power Distribution, groups and school children can enjoy informative education sessions all year round in this purpose built ‘Ed Shed’.
The Wild Place Project, opened by the Bristol Zoological Society in the summer of 2013, is home to some of the world’s most endangered species, like the lemurs from Madagascar, the eland from Africa and the okapi from the Congo to name just a few.
Visitors can learn all about these animals, the threatened habitats from where they came and get hands-on with nature. Richard Rollings, Senior Development Manager from Bristol Zoo said: “The ‘Ed Shed’ as we affectionately call it will make a huge difference to the quality of the education sessions that can be held at the Wild Place Project. Feedback from teachers and children using it has been very positive.”
