NIC Bid Challenges

Call for Third Party NIC Application now closed.

For Ofgem's 2016 Network Innovation Competition (NIC), we called for third parties to submit an NIC application. Three network challenges, which we now or in the future will face, relating to temporarily or permanently increasing the capacity of a network are described in the WPD - NIC Bid Challenges document.

The first part of the process was to complete the NIC Initial Proposal Form by the 17th February 2016.

The competitive bid process has now been completed and on the 24th February 2016 two external bid challenges were selected to be put forward for the initial screening process.
