Playground fun in St Tudy
06/06/2018
We have provided a boost to the St Tudy Playing Field Trust who have been busy fundraising to provide a new playground for the village in memory of Claire Townsend, a young mum of four.
With a One Family Foundation grant of £25,000 to provide new equipment, the challenge is now to raise additional funding to cover the costs of the safe surface.

Tracy Carr, Corporate Communications Officer for WPD said: “Safety is a number one priority at Western Power Distribution for its staff and for the communities in which we work every day. Providing a financial boost to the playground fund so that children have a safe place to play and keep active has a wider benefit for all so I am delighted that WPD can support this community fundraising challenge”.
Karen Whalley, Vice Chair of the St Tudy Playing Field Trust said: “We are really delighted with the support from Western Power Distribution in helping us develop our playground. We are determined to encourage safe outdoor play. Thank you so much”.
