Toy Story: Scale Models Raise Grand Total
An amazing £18,000 has been raised from the sale of our popular scale model Landrover Defenders and Ford Transit vans, thanks to generous colleagues and pensioners.

The funds raised were distributed to the MS Society in South Wales, MS Society in West Midlands and Weston Hospicecare in Somerset as well as a donation to this year’s annual Poppy Appeal.
Darren Berry and Steve Gibbons who co-ordinated the sale of the vehicles told us: “When Darren and I came up with the initial idea, we never imagined the interest it would receive from staff and members of the public too. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who bought one of the scale models as your support has made an amazing impact on the charities who received a donation.”
MS Society in Wales explained how the donation is making a positive difference to those living with MS. Sian Dorward, Fundraising Manager explained: “I have been able to support a number of our members apply to different Trusts and Social Services for grants that improve their quality of life.
“One lady had to have her blinds closed at 4pm each day when her Carers came to put her to bed which made for very long evenings. We applied for a grant which allowed her to buy electronic blinds which she can control herself. Something so simple but so important in helping to maintain some control in her care.”
Weston Hospicecare was able to purchase two pressure relieving mattresses that had been on their wish-list for some time and will provide much needed comfort to the patients!
