WPD welcomes official storm reports

Western Power Distribution (WPD) has welcomed today’s reports from both the Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC) and industry regulator Ofgem into the restoration of customer electricity supplies during the severe storms over the 2013 Christmas period.

Robert Symons, Chief Executive said: “We are pleased that both reports recognise the significant efforts that were made by our staff to get customer supplies restored in very difficult conditions. We are supportive of the actions proposed in the reports and will implement them in a timely manner.”
